Album: HAILE KING-RUBIE

Exhibit of Paintings by 17-year old Harlem Artist (Harlem, New York City).

Five compelling and colorful acrylic paintings by Haile King Rubie, Saturday, November 17, 2007, 5-7PM.

This will be the premier showing of works by a 17-year very talented, thoroughly committed, Down's Syndrome-challenged artist whose paintings have been praised "for his exceptional ability to interpret concepts and expressions." They have inspired and captivated art lovers from Japan, France, Germany, Sweden and throughout the city and country. Buttressed by loving and nurturing support from family and friends, a determined and self-confident Haile has transcended limitations usually associated with Down's Syndrome. On any given day he can be seen painting in the 116th Street studio of Haitian artist, Carl Thelemarque, for whom he is an intern.
